The outline of a beautiful white unicorn stallion could be seen entering the land. His head held high. His hooves and chest bloody from a evident and recent fight. Kamau had alwasy been alot more feisty and dominant colt in his herd. Thats why he left. He was severly punished for trying to keep order when it was not his place to do so.
Kamau has been wondering from land to land, herd to herd...for what seems like an eternity. Kaamau was always different from the other colts and fillys. He was a rare twin. His twin brother was nothing like him. His brother was submissive and knew his place. He never went against what he was told. And he never tried to give out orders or disipline a wrong doer.
Kamau was beat by the head of the herd, the king. He was then chased out of the herd by the king. He was still quit young, but old enough to defend himself and survive on his own. But still, Kamau wanted a herd.
For the first time since Kamau entered this land, he seemed to notice it. He gave a little neigh and looked about. This would be the perfect place... His thoughts trailed off. Yes, this would be perfect. Perfect to start a family. Perfect to run a herd. He would be king over this herd. Yes...perfect it was.
Kamau began to walk through the land. Exploring what was soon to be his new home. Kamau neighed and whinnied. Kamau reared up onto his hind legs. He kicked his front legs wildly. His black eyes were closed tight. He neighed and whinnied. THIS WILL BE MY HOME! He yelled for all who were near to hear. Kamau smiled and landed softly back onto all fours.
Kamau began to gallop through the land, taking it all in. And making sure that no others dwelled here. Good...I am the only one here so far. Kamau thought after having searched the land. This land was perfect. The soil was rich, so the grass was as well. There was several lakes and streams. Kamau was happy that he had found this land, his land.
Kamau began to mark his scent all over the place. No male will dare challenge me now... Kamau said aloud to himself with a lttle chuckle.
Kamau looked back to his past...all the things that had happened to him came flooding his memory. His mother being brutaly attacked by his father...his twin brother being attacked by his father as well. The king letting his fathers behavior continue just because he was second in command...sickening...And then the image of a scared colt being chased from his herd by the king, and his father close behind him. Taking several hits to the head that could have severly injured or killed him. What did I ever do? I was only trying to help! Kamau thought bitterly and desperately.
Kamau looked over his newly claimed land. He began to rear onto his hind legs again. His orbs looking over the land. His front legs waving in the air wildly. His nostrils flared. This is my home...I am the king of these lands and of this herd! Kamau said loudly, but without yelling this time. Kamau smiled and lowered himself down on all fours once more...he was king of these lands...I'd like to see somebody try to challenge me! Kamau thought and he lowered his head...drifting off to sleep. He felt safe enough to sleep for a time...
